During the week of February 26 to March 5, the library catalog will undergo necessary maintenance and upgrading. During this time, all patrons must bring their library cards with them to the library in order to check out materials. In addition, no holds can be placed or processed during that week. Fontana Regional Library recognizes that volunteers are integral to our success as an organization and play an important role in supporting our mission and goals.

Each of our locations has different volunteer needs, so please be aware that not all opportunities will be available at all locations.

  • AV Repair Technician
  • Book Repair Technician
  • Children's Walk About
  • Assisting with Computer Training
  • Shelf-Reading
  • Shelving Books
  • Assisting with Programs
  • Homework Assistant/Tutor
  • Assisting with Digital Devices
  • Other opportunities depending on need, skill, and interest.


All volunteers are required to fill out a volunteer application form. Applications should be submitted to your local library.

Teen volunteers must be 14-18 years old with a Fontana Regional Library card in good standing. Exceptions may be made for teens under 14 with previous volunteer experience and a letter of recommendation. Parental consent is needed for teen volunteers.

Some volunteer positions may require training with an experienced volunteer or staff member.
