Marshall Ballew Concert

Marshall Ballew at the Macon County Public Library in Franklin NC on Thursday May 16th at 6 PM.

Singer/ songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and music historian Marshall Ballew will present a musical overview of American folk music styles from colonial times to the present day. He will perform a wide variety of styles and songs on a plethora of stringed instruments, including guitar, banjo, dobro, and more. He has performed and taught for many years at festivals and workshops all over the east, and has shared the stage with Doc Watson, David Lindley, Jorma Kaukonen, and many others. His dobro and lap steel work can be heard on records by David Childers, Christine Kane, Chris Rosser, The Gospel Playboys,and others. This is a free event, so tell your friends!
