During the week of February 26 to March 5, the library catalog will undergo necessary maintenance and upgrading. During this time, all patrons must bring their library cards with them to the library in order to check out materials. In addition, no holds can be placed or processed during that week. Read more about Library Catalog Maintenance.

There are many ways to support the Library! Fontana Regional Library is a 501(c)3 organization and your donations may be tax deductible.

Monetary Gifts

Your donation helps keep new materials on the Library shelves, helps keep computers running and helps maintain our programming. All donations are tax deductible.
  1. Make a Donation Online

You can donate online through Facebook at www.facebook.com/fontanalib/ by clicking on the "Donate" button. You can also organize or participate in a Facebook Fundraiser for Fontana Regional Library and increase your support by sharing with others.

  2. Mail Donations

Send your donation by mail and designate your gift for books, computers, programs and more. Find out what your donation can do - see our Mail-in Donation Form (PDF) for more information.

  3. Honor a Loved One

Our libraries accept in memoriam gifts and gifts in tribute, most often by way of adding a book to the collection in the name of a loved one.  A memorial bookplate is put into the book honoring the gift. To honor a loved one, please send in your donation by mail or contact your library for more information.

  4. Support The Reading Rover

Your contribution to the Fontana Regional Library Gift Fund gives the region funding to support more immediate service needs. The primary use of the Gift Fund is to support the Reading Rover and other Outreach Services to children. In a region where a significant population of adults struggle with poor literacy skills, library efforts to engage children in the fun of reading are essential. Children growing up with parents who don’t use or enjoy books are much less likely to be read to and subsequently the odds are against them being equipped with strong pre-literacy skills when they enter kindergarten.

The public library plays a critical role in reaching children early in order to open the door to the world of books and build a strong foundation for learning. Demand for our existing service is greater than our resources can provide. Your contribution will help keep the Reading Rover on the road in your county, as well as help purchase a smaller vehicle to expand service to in-home childcare providers and children in elementary, after-school programs. 5. Give to Your Local Library and/or Friends Organization

Your librarian can talk with you about ways to support your individual library. Contributing to Friends organizations is also a way to help your local library. For more information, contact your local library:

You can also support Fontana Regional Library through the AmazonSmile program, which will donate 0.5% of the price of eligible purchases whenever you shop on AmazonSmile.

Materials Donations

All of our libraries accept donations of used books, movies, puzzles and more in good condition. All donations are reviewed by library staff to see if they will be added to the collection.  Most donated items are sold in our Friends of the Library Bookstores, providing much appreciated funds for the library.  Please call your closest FRL location or FRL Friends Bookstore if possible for location-specific material donation policies.

All gift forms are PDF documents, viewable in Adobe's Acrobat Reader. Download the latest version of Adobe Reader.

Fontana Regional Library is a qualified 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization and donations are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. No goods or services were or will be provided for your gift. Please consult your tax advisor regarding specific questions about your deductions.
